All Saints, Wakes Colne

All Saints Church, Wakes Colne, situated at the west end of the village, with its Norman origins, is a flint faced church topped by a white, wooden tower and spire. It has an attractive Victorian chancel and rood screen. There are preserved traces of C16 wall painting. The church has a helpful entry in Pevsner's Buildings of Essex.

In addition to regular services we hold occasional musical concerts in the church, which has noteworthy acoustics. We have recently installed an amplified sound system to enhance the congregation’s enjoyment of our services.
